eLerts - Account Notifications

We are pleased to announce the roll out of eLerts on July 1st.

eLert is Community Bank & Trust’s customized alert message service regarding events or activity on your account. You will be notified via text messages to your mobile phone and/or through your email.

eLert is available to consumer customers who are enrolled in Online Banking and have opted to receive eStatements.

There is no cost to use eLert, however standard text messaging rates apply from ones cell phone provider when selecting the text eLert options.

You may enroll online or by contacting our Customer Service or Personal Bankers who will be glad to set the eLerts for you. Once enrolled, you can set up or delete eLerts from within Online Banking. Learn more

Debit Card Phishing Scam

Recently, some of Community Bank & Trusts customers have received phone calls requesting information on their debit cards.

From time to time, you may receive a call from someone asking for your debit card account number or PIN (Personal ID Number). DO NOT give out this information. Community Bank & Trust and its affiliates (STAR) will NEVER ask for your account number or PIN.

Temporary FDIC Insurance Coverage for Transaction Accounts

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a noninterest-bearing transaction account are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDICs general deposit insurance rules.

The term noninterest-bearing transaction account includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTAs). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts.
